First time Cape Epic rider

Hi there,
I am totally new to mountain biking but I could not resist taking on the Cape Epic when I read about it. I entered for 2009 and got picked in the draw.

I have found your guide to the Epic invaluable, thanks for taking the time to share your experiences.

If you have any tips for a team of absolute beginers, please visit my Cape Epic blog and give us your views. And if, like me, you're totally new to mountain biking, hopefully it's a useful resource too.
